Syzygium smithiiLilly Pilly fruit at around a couple of years or so in reasonable conditions, with light. 

This one is on the down hill side of a hill side quad bike parking area, it is moderately open.


















You can see most of the fruit have a little growing to do, the fruit at the left is more fully formed.

The saplings in the back ground are Rhodamnia rubescens, there are quite a few in the vicinity, along with some large Syncarpia glomulifera, Eucalyptus saligna and almost emergent Lophostemon confertus.


This location is at the very top of a ridge, directly down hill is the start of one our mid sized gullies

Syzygium smithii trunkWell I guess you actually call this Juvenile in Lilly Pilly terms, but it does show the reddish tinged bark as they get older.  Thats a young Doryphora sassafras just to the right of this trunk.

I would guess that is a Syzygium smithii seedling next to the left hand side trunk, at apex of the curve.
